Representation Summary:

I have no idea about the legality, and nor will most people. Bringing empty houses back into use should be considered before any greenfield development.

Representation Summary:

Although not mentioned here at all, 'extensions... to the North of Rainham' are described in the Regulation 19 summary booklet as being suburban areas whereas they are clearly rural green field sites. This is misleading at best.

Representation Summary:

The Council’s spatial development strategy should focus on optimising the recycling of land that has already been used for buildings by adopting a truly ‘brownfield first’ strategy.
Loss of BMV should be minimised.

Representation Summary:

The Green Belt Review was published in June 2025 and contradicts the councils previous review in 2018 but does not give adequate information on changing its assessment for the west of Strood and does not properly reflect Government policy regarding Grey Belt. The council failed to publish the independent review of the Green Belt. The impression given [REDCATED] at consultation events is that Medway has been pressured by Gravesham to surrender Green Belt and loose a key feature of the green belt in reducing urban sprawl with unacceptable expansion of Strood with a meaningful border.

We must keep our Green Belt areas.
Food production must be kept to not be so reliant on foreign imports. Local food supply has lower emmissions.

Representation Summary:

The area around Capstone should never be built on. It is will change the original character of Medway forever. People use this area for their health and wellbeing, whether for walks, bike rides, playing. It has the cleanest air in Medway, it allows us to breathe. With its rolling hills and beautiful countryside, it is the only place left that retains the original character of Medway. By building on it, you are killing the lung of Medway, the natural heart of the towns, and filling what’s left with urban sprawl. You have made the wrong decision to build here.
