I support the building of the homes - but am concerned about supporting infrastructure - most notably roads and waste water removal.

I attended the presentation by the proposed developer and found their explanations of what they intend to do superficial at best. They showed no real understanding of the area and its existing problems. They could not demonstrate a clear explanation of how many developers would be involved and how many houses each developer would build or give a timescale. No thought seemed to be given to how transport would flow within the site once built, particularly around the two schools, nursery, medical centre and residential home areas. There assumption seemed to be that the majority of users would be pedestrians.

It is ridiculous to argue that building only 750 homes and a huge secondary school will limit the degree of landscape impacts. The rural design code does not exist and has not been included in the consultation so it could effectively be made up as it goes along to suit whatever needs the developer has.

The roads in the area cannot cope with the current flow of traffic. More houses will make it worse - especially at this volume.

The use of local lanes will still mean the majority of traffic using Lower Rainham Road to exit the Lower Rainham area. This road is already extremely busy and forms a boundary to Riverside Country park so there are many places where pedestrians cross and an increase in traffic will be detrimental to the enjoyment of this park.
