allocating any development within the Green Belt west of Strood would undermine the function and purpose of the Green Belt in this area.

Again you've mentioned that just under 5% of land in Medway is greenbelt, so why is it making up 7% of the houses suggested? This is disproportionate.
Purposes of the policy are currently being met but what about if these sites all go through? Development in upper bush will erode the gap between Cuxton and Halling and cause these two distinct villages to be closer to coalescence. Additional development in Halling causes coalescence with Holborough. This increase of traffic on the a228 will also severely negatively impact all residents, especially with LTC on the way.

The green belt makes up 5% of land in Medway. this is a very small area and should be protected.

I'm sounding like a broken record here but what will the Capstone Valley development and the obscene Lidsing Garden village do? They will link Hempstead, Bredhurst and Lordswood and destroy beautiful areas in the process

It's a massive shame to reduce Medway to no green belt. Where does nature go?

The map of green belt release sites shows areas in Cuxton at Upper Bush and Wingate Woods. Wingate Woods is also part of a SSSI and is totally inaccessible. The site at Upper Bush has recently been the subject of an appeal to uphold a £30m winery development, that was rejected by the Planning Inspectorate because of its adverse effect on the surrounding AONB. Other areas in Halling serve the purpose of separating Lower Halling from both Upper and North Halling. Release of these areas for housing would negate both local and national policies for protection of such areas.

The Green Belt is there for a purpose and no part of it must be released for development.

Just under 5% of land in Medway is designated as Green Belt and it all must be protected.
