Respondent: Mr Leslie Brown

Representation Summary:

Will the Medway Planning Validation paperwork include reference to trigger levels. Housing <50 a Transport Statement and over 50 a Transport Assessment. Ditto B1 or B8 <1000 sqm TS and > 1000sqm a TA? A TS for every application is not reasonable.

Travel Plans after completion of the Development are never in the public domain. They should be otherwise they are less than sustainable.

Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2024)

Representation ID: 2633

Received: 05/09/2024

Respondent: Mrs Helen Selleck

Representation Summary:

People are forced to use their cars. Buses are readily cancelled and few and far between. A lot of people in Allhallows are manual workers which often entail shift work so public transport just doesn’t exist at the times needed. Also many have works vans which they drive home and block the roads with!

Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2024)

Representation ID: 3979

Received: 08/09/2024

Respondent: Miss Rachael Selleck

Representation Summary:

I live in Allhallows, and we desperately need improved public transport. Better and more frequent bus services are essential, along with a reliable rail network to connect us efficiently. Increasing the number of local shops would reduce the need for long trips. A consistent and comprehensive transport service throughout Medway is crucial for easier travel. With only four buses a day at best, the current service is inadequate and makes getting around incredibly difficult.

Representation ID: 4124

Received: 08/09/2024

Respondent: Medway Labour and Cooperative Group

Representation Summary:

Not sure how this can be achieved with existing policy levers - need significantly more local control over public transport provision and highways policy to be more forward thinking on cycling and walking provision. Needs to be a proper long term multi-modal strategy for road network. Local Transport Plan needs to be mandated to achieve aspirations set out in local plan
