Strategic objectives should focus on optimising the recycling of land that has already been used for buildings by adopting a truly ‘brownfield first’ strategy.
Building more capacity into local roads will lead to increased car dependant development and urban sprawl in rural areas, which can negatively affect the countryside.

I would hope that consideration has been given to rising sea levels. Global warming, causing ice to melt, suggests that by 2100 sea levels are expected to rise by 300mm. Would it be possible to provide an areas at risk map?

Due to global warming, water currently locked up as ice in sea etc is melting and by 2100 is expected to cause sea levels to rise by 300mm. This needs to be planned for, as valuable farmland and built-up areas become inundated. An at risk would be useful.

Global warming will cause extreme weather with hotter, dryer summers and colder wetter winters. Farming will be affected which should not be built on. Construction contributes 40% of carbon emissions. The ‘Future Homes Standard’ will force developers to build in a more environmental and sustainable way, deserves mention in the Local Plan.

I support it, but it’s too late!
You have granted access for HUGE areas of countryside to be built on, which should have been preserved for the wellbeing of the local population.
What is the point in ruining huge swathes of countryside that were good for people’s wellbeing, to replace them with huge housing estates with a few cycle and pedestrian paths, when we were using them before - without the noise, pollution, rubbish etc that comes with such housing developments.
Why aren’t you creating new woodland and preserving the remaining areas that we all lived? You have ruined it
