There is increasing concern about the viability of this scheme long term and many shared ownership participants are struggling to sell and move on the property ladder.

It sounds a great idea but the reality is proving somewhat different.
We need housing that people can afford without doing it this way.

Such First Homes are essential if many people are able to have secure tenure and are able to build their lives in the area. I think that a greater proportion of the planned properties should fall into this category.
