However, the Policy requires applications to demonstrate that the proposal meets a proven need for the particular type of accommodation. The Policy and / or the supporting text should provide further clarity in terms of the format which this will be required for an application.

Skills and Workforce Link. Policy T4 is silent on ensuring that specialist housing developments contribute to local workforce training in care, nursing, and support services — despite clear skills shortages in these sectors within Medway. This is a missed opportunity.

Whilst welcoming the inclusion of a specific policy relating to this form of delivery the current wording does not really provide certainty over delivery.
