Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2024)
Policy S6: Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Landscape
Representation ID: 2236
Received: 03/09/2024
Respondent: Mr Robin Watkins
The last remaining green space between Hempstead and Maidstone (and Hempstead and the motorway) that is under control of Medway should be maintained (or even partially reforested as a green lung from the motorway).
Lidsing's "Garden Development" - which is being challenged in The High Court (and is anything but a "garden") - is not within Medway, but an example of a council looking to put the burden of services on another council, while taking the income from council tax etc.

If you're bothered about air quality, don't build on the remaining piece of green in Medway that abuts the motorway.
