Policy DM11: Scheduled Monuments and Archaeological Sites
Representation ID: 3152
Received: 07/09/2024
Respondent: Mrs Lynn Davis
This is really important and should be rigidly enforced. Once historical sites are compromised or destroyed they cannot be re-created

Policy S20: Strood District Centre
Representation ID: 3207

Now that Strood has no major banks, only one building society is a big factor that has made it lose footfall The Post Office copes well but cannot help if you need to actually visit your bank. If you are going to Chatham to access your bank, then you will shop there also. This is a problem that needs addressing

Policy DM19: Vehicle Parking
Representation ID: 3234
Received: 07/09/2024

This policy does not appear to make any provision for self employed people who have a work vehicle and a vehicle for leisure. The self employed contribute greatly towards the local economy and provide trusted trades people to carry out varying maintenance services. Also there would need to be provision for disabled people who need a vehicle to aid their mobility and would like to live in standard housing rather than be segregated from their community.

Policy T13: Tourism, Culture and Visitor Accommodation
Representation ID: 3245
Received: 07/09/2024
Respondent: Mrs Lynn Davis
Nowhere in this document has Haven Kent Coast been mentioned as a site of holiday accommodation and a visitor destination. This site attracts an enormous turnover of holidaymakers in addition to people who own caravans and spend all their holidays there. This site has permission for 1400 caravan pitches and has yet to reach that total. There has also been no mention of how it affects village resources e.g. water, sewage and electricity

Medway Council needs to address the lack of mobile coverage and fibre broadband to existing communities first. Some days on the Hoo Peninsula you are lucky to have a 3G service and that will be turned off soon which will leave a black communications hole for rsidents

When considering this option the Council must take into consideration the lack of ability in Allhallows to have electric charging points because of the lack of enough power supplied to homes. Also the fact that the slightest rain means raw sewage runs down Binney Road for weeks, because the pipework cannot cope
