Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2024)

3.2.1

Representation ID: 3671

Received: 08/09/2024

Respondent: Stewart Taylor

Representation Summary:

The urban plan makes most sense to me as it has less impact on the existing infrastructure. However, public services are a real concern.
I also worry that Hempstead is going to end up being so closely connected to Lordswood that there will be no open land between them

Policy S2: Conservation and Enhancement of the Natural Environment

Representation ID: 3673

Received: 08/09/2024

Respondent: Stewart Taylor

Representation Summary:

If there is ANY impact on the natural habitat then it should not happen. It seems bizarre that there is a way to get around it with mitigation or compensation.

Policy T1: Promoting High Quality Design

Representation ID: 3676

Received: 08/09/2024

Respondent: Stewart Taylor

Representation Summary:

Why is there no mention of solar panels in this section? Many other countries have accepted that building with Solar in the roof is a great way to spread the generation of electricity and reduce demands on the grid.
Also, the provision of EV chargers has already occurred in several small developments around Medway. I think it should be mandatory.
