Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2024)
Policy T27: Reducing Health Inequalities and Supporting Health and Wellbeing
Representation ID: 2099

If Medway is to support Health & Well-being, the Infrastructure for this needs to be in place before Residential development commences. Our (one) Hospital is massively oversubscribed, as are GP Services and pretty much every Community Health Centre\GP practice. If this does not happen it will cause even more Health hardship to all Residents. It’s a nonsense to build more Homes without Services in place to support them. You cannot possibly have a Healthy Community without these services in place from the off.

Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2024)
Vision for Medway in 2041

How can you possibly provide a ‘good quality of life’ with continual Residential development in the area. We already have areas desperate for new business and regeneration, ie, Chatham Town Centre and Gillingham, and these needs are not currently fulfilled. You should looking to attending the ‘now’ before addressing future needs.
Medway is not a healthy place to live or work and won’t be unless current Health/Social needs are attended to.
