Policy DM15: Monitoring and Managing Vehicle Trip Generation
Representation ID: 4924
Received: 11/08/2025
Respondent: Tonbrigde and Malling Borough Council
Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council supports the monitor and manage approach towards transport mitigation identified at policy DM15. We recognise that the achievement of this ambition will require a creative and co-ordinated approach in terms of securing funding and delivery of the transport schemes identified in the IDP. LCWIP schemes are however currently missing from the published IPD and should be included.

9.2.15
Representation ID: 4925
Received: 11/08/2025
Respondent: Tonbrigde and Malling Borough Council
Legally compliant? Yes
Sound? No
Duty to co-operate? Yes
Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council is supporting Kent County Council in progressing a comprehensive scheme for the improvement of Blue Bell Hill A229. The text included at paragraph 9.2.15 of the Local Plan does not make Medway Council’s position clear regarding this.
Given the published transport evidence, we would like this scheme to be identified in the Medway Local Plan and IDP as a requirement, with a commitment to ongoing discussions with KCC and other neighbouring authorities, to ensure that this scheme can be fully funded and implemented once the DfT has approved the full business case.
