HMO’s tend to attract individuals that have no social etiquette or desire to mix with the neighbourhood and have no regard or respect for the property and those that live around it

They are not good opportunities and in my experience all HMO housing tend to be run by poor landlords / companies that exploit vulnerable groups and do not suitably vet tenants or involve views of neighbours

All neighbours need to be involved to be assured of the safety of their families plus the tenants need to be treated with respect and the properties looked after by both tenants and landlords

All HMOs I have either been near to or experienced have no suitable tenant checks or guidelines drawn up by landlords to respect property and or neighbourhood. When landlords are approached they take no responsibility so there should be an additional independent body to review and take account of neighbours views on conduct of property and tenants at least annually
