The evidence in the supporting documents shows that losing the docks and the companies there will cost millions per year to Medway’s economy. The job losses are not correctly shown neither is the loss of employment land mainly because perhaps this is disingenuously claimed as mixed use land so therefore does not show properly as land being lost. The balance of the plan is wrong and concentrates almost exclusively to the priority of housing. Mere mood music is expended on the need for local jobs. The focus is on building a London type suburb where jobs will “hopefully” be commuter.
