We’re reviewing potential sites for development in our emerging Local Plan.
An up-to-date assessment of land availability is needed as part of the plan-making process. A call for sites is an important information-gathering exercise as part of the assessment of land availability.
Our call for sites 2022 was for all land uses - not just housing. It opened in November 2022 and closed at the end of February 2023.

What happens next
We'll consult on options for future growth in a Regulation 18 document later in 2023.
Previous call for sites and SLAAs
The first SLAA was published in November 2010, with 7 subsequent reviews and reports. The latest was published in December 2019. These were supported by official call for sites in 2008 to 2009 and 2014.
