Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2024)

Representation ID: 4079

Received: 08/09/2024

Respondent: Mrs Lisa Lanckmans

Representation Summary:

Hundreds more houses will bring hundreds more cars onto already congested roads and therefore yet more pollution. No public transport improvements will be sufficient to mitigate this. The closest train station is several miles away from the locations of proposed massive housing developments in the Hempstead, Capstone areas. Absolutely ludicrous.

It is submitted that "CO2 emissions and air quality will worsen by 300% with the closure of Chatham Docks making this area one of the worse affected areas inbthe UK outside cental London". We should not allow this to happen.
