Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2023)

Supporting people to lead healthy lives and strengthening our communities

Representation ID: 346

Received: 25/09/2023

Respondent: Miss Priscilla Roud

Representation Summary:

We can continue focusing on green/recycling but more on HEALTH AND SAFETY PLEASE.

I love Medway and all it has to offer but it is becoming increasingly frustrating and demoralising having to cope with the neverending surrounding squalor and filth. Please address this.

Refuse bins available for all residents please and also more awareness of how to dispose our food waste safely and wisely.

Full text:

Effective food waste management needs to be implemented for all households.

Let's concentrate on keeping our streets and roads cleaner and healthier by giving all residents refuse bins or the option of having one.
Regardless of what is assumed, there is space outside peoples homes even on the most narrow streets.

There are too many rubbish bags dumped on streets which are ripped open by cats, foxes and vermin. And this is because residents don't have a safe place to dispose their food waste. The mess is left for days at a time, it's a health and safety issue and just not acceptable in this day and age.
