Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2023)

Prepared for a sustainable and green future

Representation ID: 347

Received: 25/09/2023

Respondent: Ms Celine Romand-Monnier

Representation Summary:

Public transport really must become more reliable and more affordable, at the moment the prices are extortionate.
Could the river be used too by implementing electrical boats / small ferries services between the Medway towns, and perhaps extending to the Thames towns and London?

Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2023)

Securing jobs and developing skills for a competitive economy

Representation ID: 350

Received: 26/09/2023

Respondent: Ms Celine Romand-Monnier

Representation Summary:

In order to develop skills in the future, I think it is important that Medway social services are better equipped to get children to school. I see children who go to school perhaps one day out of 5, this is something that prevents skills building. Seeing the present situation, I would gauge that massive recruitment in social services is needed and I would suggest a campaign educating parents in the necessity to take their children to school in order to secure them (and society at large) a good future.

Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2023)

5.2

Representation ID: 351

Received: 26/09/2023

Respondent: Ms Celine Romand-Monnier

Representation Summary:

The plan should also be precise about how existing housing will be protected from noise (already very high in Strood, for instance), air pollution, light pollution, when new houses are built. The plan should also include a rule of planting one tree / plant for each tree / plant that is destroyed when building new houses. In my 11 years in Strood, I have seen a lot of green spaces destroyed and very little replanted.
