Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2023)
The plan's vision is to

The 2 biggest concerns are the woefully inadequate infrastructure for the already over populated Medway and the relentless destruction of our greenspaces for shoddily built houses that locals can not afford. Can the plan reassure citizens that this will cease?
Further, will it include protection for existing sports fields and clubs that provide an invaluable service to the community?

Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2023)
Supporting people to lead healthy lives and strengthening our communities

There is no mention here of local sports clubs that already provide community enhancement and are largely run by volunteers meaning they must be an economically advantageous option for the local authority. All we ask is to be supported for the work we do on behalf of the local community.

This is a vital document and must be publicised widely and as promptly as possible. The destruction of our greenspaces is a major concern for residents who already have very limited local access.

This is of course, absolutely undeliverable in the geography of Medway without riding roughshod over all of the greenspace and healthy living agenda.
It is a pint pot and no matter how much you soft soap the public, it will not take a quart.

Medway does not "need" another 28500 homes. This is what is designated by people with a vested interest in creating a need for 28500 homes. Discuss.

14736 extra house on "rural" land is bizarre. We have virtually no rural land left in Medway.

This includes the Lidsing debacle which has already been shelved for good reason.
It also includes wiping out the entire expanse of rural land north of the Lower Rainham Road which will be devastating for the rich wildlife and flora of an important estuary environment.
This is wholly unacceptable

Greenbelt release is an absolute joke. What you actually mean is greenbelt destruction.
