These green policies will have a detrimental effect on the living standards of the population, due to the estimated costs of reaching net zero of c£1tn. The council should in the short concentrate on rejuvenating Medway to make it attractive to live or set up businesses. The infrastructure and the high streets are in need of vast improvements. The bus services are poor and expensive . If anything transport links have got worse with introduction of bus lanes, preventing people moving around more easily. River transport is a positive idea. Medway council need to encourage business and visitors.

Where are all these high quality homes going to be built? There is little space already, will need associated infrastructure and service, already in short supply. This seems to contradict the above green spaces policy
