Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2023)

5.45

Representation ID: 809

Received: 27/10/2023

Respondent: Mr Chris Cook

Representation Summary:

It is quite clear that after the recent debacle of road works reducing to one lane the main road from the peninsular, that without a proper second access road to the peninsular no major housing projects should be allowed to proceed. I do not count the recent proposal as an acceptable solution.

Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2023)

5.39

Representation ID: 810

Received: 27/10/2023

Respondent: Mr Chris Cook

Representation Summary:

I strongly oppose the number of houses that developers are proposing for the Hoo peninsular, many on good quality agricultural land. No major projects should be given permission until upgraded transport links are completed and NHS health facilities are capable of supporting the thousands of additional residents who will occupy even some developments.
Housing developers are businesses which I have no problem with, however they have little or no interest in the quality of life for those on the peninsular once they have left.
YOU the council do have the ability to make to right decisions.
