Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2023)

The plan's vision is to

Representation ID: 1022

Received: 30/10/2023

Respondent: Liv Livesey

Representation Summary:

The vision sounds nice, in particular for better walking, cycle and public transport. The current cycle lanes are rough and out of date, unsuitable for skating, and are discontinuous which makes them much more dangerous. All the current bus routes go through chatham which also increases journey time and burden unnecessarily. Council tax is already very high and these changes should be considered within current budget restraints without additional burden on local tax payers. Accessible paths (wheelchair friendly) should be included in planning routes to make use of the riverside. Very Supportive of new river travel!
