Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2023)

The plan's vision is to

Representation ID: 1140

Received: 30/10/2023

Respondent: Mrs Lauren Heritage-Winter

Representation Summary:

But these plans are building entirely in greenbelt land complete the opposite to a green and sustainable message and to make matters worse is eating into the countryside the local people go to relax and get into nature. The areas you are planning to build require cars as there is no local train station within walking distance and bus services are not regular. Indeed even in major routes busses are often less than hourly. It is not realistic to think there won't be major car use. Looking at these plans there is little provision for this.

Representation Summary:

So you want to increase a green and healthy lifestyle for locals and encourage spending more time in nature by.....building on it?

Crime in the area is increasing all the time with less investment into the police, how do you suppose adding more people, especially demographics that statistically are involved in higher crime rates will help this?
