Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2023)

Supporting people to lead healthy lives and strengthening our communities

Representation ID: 1326

Received: 31/10/2023

Respondent: Mrs Alexandra Hall

Representation Summary:

How is building more houses supporting healthier lives ? More people equals more pollution . Building more does not strengthen communities it isolated existing ones . Surely promoting existing community activities strengthens them. Moving more people into a particular area is just that not building communities.

Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2023)

Securing jobs and developing skills for a competitive economy

Representation ID: 1327

Received: 31/10/2023

Respondent: Mrs Alexandra Hall

Representation Summary:

Building more houses means there will be more people needing jobs and education etc putting a strain on local funding which is already grossly overspent . When the building stops they will just be unemployed unless the council will just continue to build until they no longer need to work. There is no guarantee that those building will be from the local area many come from over parts of the uk and Europe . No guarantee they will all be Medway residents
