Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2023)

5.10

Representation ID: 1718

Received: 31/10/2023

Respondent: Mr Rupert Turpin

Representation Summary:

The Hoo peninsula is a vital habitat for migrating birds etc. Roads, with their constant noise, and people in homes ( maybe with cats) threaten these habitats, which, as known to Dickens, were in their way isolated and desolate and which have become havens for wildlife away from people. Britain is a degraded habitat, especially England, and we need to protect those we have left.

5.21

Representation ID: 1721

Received: 31/10/2023

Respondent: Mr Rupert Turpin

Representation Summary:

This should be with the consent of the Businesses and the workers. Chatham Docks is viable and as far as I can see should not be turned into high rise flats. THe businesses there have shown that they are viable and that they want to stay. Similarly Medway City Estate would entail a loss of jobs and it is very important that jobs get equal billing with housing.
