Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2023)

5.36

Representation ID: 1663

Received: 31/10/2023

Respondent: Mr Matthew Nightingale

Representation Summary:

Development of the Port Medway Marina would cause the naturally defined boundary between Cuxton and Strood to be further eroded. By connecting Cuxton to Medway Valley Park through development would close the natural buffer between the two and could provide a footing for future developments to merge the areas and allow for Cuxton to fall victim to becoming engulfed by an expanding Strood town. The M2 and HS1 is a defined boundary between the two and the remaining undeveloped land provides the buffer, this development will remove the buffer.
