Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) across the peninsula, which are of national importance. The coastal marshes and mudflats and areas of woodland shape the distinctive character and feel of the peninsula. These landscapes are valued for their sense of place and remoteness, all the more special, given their proximity to urban Medway and must be protected at all costs.

Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) across the peninsula, which are of national importance.
