Policy T1: Promoting High Quality Design

Representation ID: 2629

Received: 05/09/2024

Respondent: Mrs Helen Selleck

Representation Summary:

I don’t think it’s possible to put up so many houses that will be quality design. They won’t fit in a rural area. They will have space for 2 cars so doesn’t allow for vans/children’s cars/visitors. Everything will be congested. Emergency vehicles will not have access at certain times of the day. Whatever they look like they will be unsafe

Policy T14: Rural Economy

Representation ID: 2630

Received: 05/09/2024

Respondent: Mrs Helen Selleck

Representation Summary:

Development in Allhallows will cause significant problems to the movement of residents in the village. There is only access via a single track lane to Binney rd. there is a narrow road to stoke. Allhallows is at the end of a line. Avery Way is a dead end and so is Binney. This in itself causes bottlenecks. By taking away farm land we are stopping growth of British food. We will be adding several hundred cars to the road.

Vision for Access and Movement in Medway

Representation ID: 2631

Received: 05/09/2024

Respondent: Mrs Helen Selleck

Representation Summary:

I can tell you that the traffic in Allhallows has increased significantly. Stoke school has closed so we have the school traffic from there. The holiday park has increased in size and therefore traffic has. Several children [REDACTED] now drive also. There is also an increase in vans that people bring home. So I am not sure where you are getting your information from.

Policy DM18: Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans

Representation ID: 2633

Received: 05/09/2024

Respondent: Mrs Helen Selleck

Representation Summary:

People are forced to use their cars. Buses are readily cancelled and few and far between. A lot of people in Allhallows are manual workers which often entail shift work so public transport just doesn’t exist at the times needed. Also many have works vans which they drive home and block the roads with!

Policy DM19: Vehicle Parking

Representation ID: 2635

Received: 06/09/2024

Respondent: Mrs Helen Selleck

Representation Summary:

New houses generally have 2 spaces. Not allowing for work vans visitors or children’s cars. Too far away from anything not to drive. Causes paths and road sides to be congested possibly blocking emergency access and making crossing difficult. Very few people in Allhallows can afford electric cars. The trend is to move away from electric as not efficient/practical and go possibly for hydrogen again not affordable.

Policy T27: Reducing Health Inequalities and Supporting Health and Wellbeing

Representation ID: 2638

Received: 06/09/2024

Respondent: Mrs Helen Selleck

Representation Summary:

By destroying open spaces in Allhallows it will adversely affect mental and physical health. People will be prevented from enjoying walking in a natural environment taking in the views seeing badgers hares foxes birds frogs greater crested newts bats etc and savouring fresh air which all creates a sense of wellbeing. You will make it very dangerous for horse riding that is a pastime enjoyed by children to grandmothers. All good for physical/mental health. People need to work long hours to afford these homes hardly time to grow food! Farmland is for growing food, allotments hardly compare!
