Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2024)
Policy S13: Innovation Park Medway
Representation ID: 3832
Received: 08/09/2024

"A pause and review" yet the Council remains committed to the delivery of high-quality employment at IPM. How can an effective review take place if the council still holds a one sided view. It may not be appropriate to continue with this vision. Again it is difficult to understand why the council wishes to push forward with this and try and create new jobs, when exiting jobs at Chatham Docks are at risk due to the change of land designation.

A good policy. Our high streets have changed and we must therefore adapt our policies to reflect that. More residential development in our town centres will create sustainable developments. Having places for people to meet and also healthcare facilities that people can easily access.

Unsure as to why development proposals in urban centres would be exempt due to accessible location as development in these areas will put a strain on an already busy road network. contributions need to come forward to assist with road layouts and management to keep traffic flowing.

Priority must be given to independent shops. Rochester High Street has a unique character in comparison to the other towns. This must be protected.

Support restricting the number of take aways providing poor quality food. The location of these outlets is also important, as are the opening times.
