The old town centres Chatham, Strood, Gillingham, Rochester require an uplift in quality, so that the downward trend in the economy can be revered. Coffee shops, barber shops and less friendly shoppers is not good.

The Medway Development Company do not appear to build affordable housing or they push them out to White City Estate. I had hoped this would be changed. Site costs, affordability assessments also keep affordable housing numbers down.

Medway has an inordinate number of conservation areas in the towns.
Plus the former golf range now a park, with no future development of the Army site near Hoo

The south coast of England has many wonderful developments, hence restricting them in Medway may be counterproductive.
St Mary's Island is one example of quality, albeit private maintenance.
