All unnecessary if the council weren't working on an inflated housing need.

It seems to me that the Lower Thames Crossing plan is more realistic in its assessment of development need. The needs of voulume house builders has too much influence on local planning policy.

Perhaps not just further but very serious and longer term consideration.
It seems we are part of the London Flood Plan an less of a concern than other areas.

As stated previously the Local Housing Needs Assessment 2021 indicates we only need 4,276 dwellings to satisfy natural growth and that
1,200 must be council houses

Why are we meeting the needs of Londoners on good salaries. I think they themselves would prefer to reduce their commute and stay living in London if their housing needs were met there!

I've seen it suggested that :
"Further developments on or near the Medway River and estuary , deserve to be the subject of an international competition with carbon negative construction and operation at its heart. Such a competition could then be judged by resident resulting in an increase in awareness and positive publicity for the area.

Is there a danger that design codes result in uninspiring "standard" developments everywhere?
The biggest design consideration is that new dwellings are carbon negative in construction and operation
