I cannot accept this bobbins that Medway intends to adapt to climate change and tackle the clean air problem by concreting over the genuinely beautiful Capstone Valley

Again, I refer back to the insane plan to cover the Capstone Valley in modern slum houses. Once this genuinely beautiful green space and haven for wildlife and greenery is gone we never get it back.

Medway Local Plan (Regulation 18, 2023)
Supporting people to lead healthy lives and strengthening our communities

Until there are sufficient police patrols and intelligence-led policing, by foot, not from a crawling patrol car twice a day up and down the pedestrianised high street I do not feel safe using my bike to commute to work or the train station. I accept there is a utopian view we should all be on bicycles but there frankly isn't the road space to use one safely, there is not safe provision to leave a bike of any value and the public transport is not there and what is, is far too expensive

I support this idea wholeheartedly, still no mention of what will be done to encourage exciting, enterprising business to Medway by preventing anti-social behaviour though

I take this with a total pinch of salt as proven by the plan to concrete the Capstone Valley. Words at this point mean nothing, actions do and so far the action has been to show an intent to pander to property developers interested in the biggest margin they can squeeze from the land footprint.

Right, so you have approved or intend to approve a development that is not linked at all to the public transport network, is accessed by a road that barely fits 1 vehicle at a time down and to destroy a beautiful local feature without any actual improvement to local infrastructure

Because developers don't want to spend money on infrastructure! If Medway is serious about fulfilling these ridiculous housing targets why on earth did it withdraw its funding application for the Hoo Peninsula? That would have improved infrastructure and enabled people moving to a remote part of Medway access to public transport and subsequently been a viable option for developers

I refer back to my earlier comment about the lack of infrastructure funding for the Hoo Peninsula. If Medway has no intention of lobbying and applying for every piece of funding for infrastructure Medway will become even more squashed up than it already is and look like a grey blob from above with no green space

Affordability of homes is driven by demand. Since every council stopped building homes instead subbing it out to housing associations and private developers supply will not satisfy the demand so the idea of affordability is laughable in Medway.
